Answers and Warranties

Frequently Asked Questions:

At Symphony Structures, we’re often asked:

  • “What’s the average cost to build or remodel my home?”
  • “How much does a garage cost?”
  • “What’s the price to add a covered porch?”
  • “Can I build a workshop on my property, and what would it cost?”

While we understand the desire for a quick answer, project pricing depends on many variables, including site conditions, design, materials, and scope. Until we visit your property and understand the full vision, we can only offer general ballpark estimates, which is exactly why we provide free, no-obligation consultations.

During your estimate, we treat your first quote like your “wish list.” From there, we tailor a realistic and actionable plan that aligns with your goals and your budget. You’ll always be part of the conversation, and we’ll help you determine where upgrades make sense and where savings can be found, without sacrificing quality.

Sample Garage Starting Costs (as of 2025):

These numbers are always before: Architectural Plans, Permitting Costs, Inspection Periods, Dump Fees for Construction Debris, Rental Costs for Crane Rental, Porto-John Rental, Delivery Fees for Materials, Site Preparation, Excavation & Grading (if required), Flood Zone Foundation specifications, and of course taxes for the Department of Revenue.

  • Detached Garage Structure: Starting at $65 per square foot, completed.
(Includes basic finishes, flat build site, and no existing structure tie-ins.)
  • Architectural Plans & Permits: Vary for each project depending on size and scope of
each project but usually start at approx. $1.50 sq/ft for a basic Garage Architecture +
$500 for the Site Plan and then the permitting costs vary through each municipality and
depend on livable space or type of garage structures. In general, most permits start at
approx. $750 and go up from there. (Actual costs may vary based on jurisdiction and
    project complexity.)
  • RV or Oversized Garages: Typically range from $85-$90+ per square foot, depending
on height requirements, reinforced foundations, custom doors, utilities, and added
features. Structural Engineering always is added in with ceiling heights over 12’-0”.

Note: Attaching to an existing structure often increases costs due to fire code requirements for
livable space, utility integration, and engineering considerations.

We aim to make the design and build process transparent, collaborative, and stress-free—
backed by over 100 years of combined experience in Southern Arizona home construction.
